what is it?

art, that's what. actually it is a picture i took of a champagne glass. little face added later. cheers! Posted by Picasa

OH, i forgot to tell you. when i was in san francisco in sept of 2005 (due to inclement weather in nola) went to city lights bookstore. Reading w/o glasses (which are for seeing far aways) I spotted a short man walk by. Still w/o glasses i saw a rhea perlman type woman walk by. put my glasses back on. wanted a picture of the two of them. so i politely axed. it was just the three of us in the basement part of the store, thought maybe they would just turn and smile and i could snap a quick one on my disposable camera. "no" she said. oh, alright, i walked away w/o another word. 15 minutes later rhea had gone away to the upstairs part of the store. Mr. DeVito was asking a ladie shopkeep about books on lucid dreaming. As he walked by me, he said, "you still want that picture?" He says to the shopkeep, "do you mind?". so i hand her my trash cam and we pose and she snaps.
At that point i did not think it appropriate to say, "i don't want a picture With you, I Wanted to take a picture of you w/ Rhea. I happen to love them together.
i just took this off of nndb.com;
Working in summer stock in Connecticut, he met and befriended the young Michael Douglas. DeVito was soon subletting Douglas's Manhattan apartment, and when he met another aspiring actress named Rhea Perlman, she moved in two weeks later.
they been together since somewhere in the 70's and got married in 82. and are still together! so that's cool, right? not normal.
anywho. tripping is a word associated with doing hallucinationary type drugs. it also applies to actually going on Trips. I had driven to NYC whilst the city i lived in was sinking. Drove to cape cod, drove to central mass, back to NYC. went to Newark NJ and then flew to san francisco. lots of ghosts in san francisco. that whole town feels like an exgirlfriend to me now. anyway the safety of city lights bookstore. and there is DeVito, he rocks! look it up, he has been involved w/ some kick ass movies. jersy films baby! so even though i was tripping w/ bad hair, i Had to do the photo. so that happened. Posted by Picasa

TRASH HEADS

These heads were all at the Trashy Diva in New Orleans. Trashy Diva is cool. These ladies, Candice and Robin have taken a nod from the classic 40's styles and updated them w/ their own fabric designs. I don't even care myself much for dresses, but I Love the stuff, check it out on the intWeb site; http://trashydiva.com/ Posted by Picasa

okay here is an example of maybe someone didn't want their picture taken. but then again he didn't say no, or have his henchmen come over and rip the memory out of my camera. "hey, that's a gigabite, fella!" but there they are waiting to get some sort of burrito me thinks. I didn't ask. Lsu guy gave me the impression, and i did jump to a fast end on this one, that he was a fan of one of the teams of LSU more than say, he was a graduate.
not that i graduated from college. i am one of those, "some college" dudes.

did i mention that i enjoy the world of Mr. Sienfeld and friends? this is a blurry shot from the soup nazi episode, which i realized i have yet to see from the beginning. i have not gotten the tv guide in many years. just gotta flip around.

so this building caught some heat and now, who wants to live in it? no one.
watched it burn a bit. could see the smoke from wheres i live. wheres.
sorta fun show. the firemen holding the hoses. the helicopters dropping water. really a nice time to meet the neighbors, not that these are my neighbors but they live close by.
anyway, as they say, "that happened" Posted by Picasa

oh, so i have an obsession w/ the sunset. got the digi cam here back in december.
almost every night since i look out to see what sort of clouds we got w/ the setting ball o' fire. have called it 'showtime' for a few years now. sunset. don't miss it if you can remember. sunrise is cool too. but that's harder to rangle. when i totally give in to nocturnisism i will go to bed at sunrise and then there will be more of that in the pictures.
once, i got off an airplane in chicago (washington?) and the sun was setting over the expance of concrete. I stood there near the gate as everyone rushed off to the next piece of travel. After about 15 minutes the watching the show, a flight attendant got off the plane. Miss, i said, if you have a minute, you can view one of your lifes sunsets. she stopped, put her bag down and looked out the window at the world spinning. Posted by Picasa

guess what, I got to shake the hand of the man who hugged Monica Lewinsky!
i kid, i love Clinton! but we shared no connection on saturday. he looked me square in the forehead for a second before moving on to the ladies to my left.

but out came my camera. he gave a nice little speach, something about 'reaching out and touching someones hand to make the world a better place. . .' Posted by Picasa
